Flower Whimsy Girl Mixed Media: Peace among the flowers
As an introvert, I use my art & "alone time" to recharge. I especially like doing pieces that reflect my idea of calm, happiness and love. I see this girl being at the height of mental comfort and peace being among nothing but flowers.

I have been practicing drawing and coloring faces when I can find the time. I was looking for alcohol markers, but couldn't justify spending that kind of money yet.

I have been watching a lot of drawing tutorials on YouTube and something new caught my eye. My go to markers have always been sharpies but it seems that everyone doing anything cool has these alcohol markers.  Most tutorials I watched were done with Copics or Prismacolor markers,  but on amazon the Spectrum Noir markers were cheaper so I ordered them. They're taking a little getting used to, but Ive been having fun experimenting.  The markers I ordered and used here are the Spectrum Noir 24 pack of pastel colors

I love the idea of being completely at peace, especially in today's world. Your art definitely reflects someone keeping happiness and joy around in the midst of everything. And the colors are fantastic! Great use of your markers

This is a  collection of my artwork, ranging from mixed media whimsy, to educational art for my kids. Most pieces are done with Bic Mark it markers, crayola colored pencils, oil pastels, sharpie markers, watercolor paint, and/or watercolor pencils.

I've always loved arts and crafts, but as with everything, time became limited, and it ended up being an "on again, off again" thing. I was more into "crafts" than "Art-art" because I never felt like I really knew what I was doing and was embarrassed by all of my attempts of drawing/painting.

Thankfully, my kids love art time, and that’s given me the time and “excuse” to play with new techniques as well as old ones. I've joined a few art groups that have been very supportive and have given me a new confidence to create & show my work.
