This muffin tin and tongs activity is great for helping develop the muscles used for writing. We also use this activity to practice color sorting.
My mom had the muffin tin in her kitchen and let us take it for our play room. We have used it so many times for so many things. Stay tuned for more posts about that. The tongs came from a pre-made party platter at the grocery store, and have been in a drawer in the kitchen for years.
I found these Easter eggs at a consignment sale after Easter. They were in a bag with a variety of sizes and colors. There were probably 30 eggs in the bag, and I think I spent less than $3.00 for all of them. We also use them for all sorts of activities. Again, stay tuned.
Thrift stores and consignment sales are a great place to stock up on all types of supplies for Montessori, sensory, and developmental activities.
